At market this week: strawberries, blueberries, lettuce, onions, radishes, Swiss chard, spinach, tomatoes, squash, new potatoes, honey, broccoli, cabbage, herbs, empanadas, breads, kettle corn, soap, plants and much more. Vendors include: Terrapin Station, Calvert Kettle Corn, C&T Produce, and Penn Farm.
That's not a particularly convenient time for most 9-5 people, I imagine...unless you work very closeby and could go during lunch.
ReplyDeleteAt least a bunch of the other markets extend their hours to a bit after 5, or on weekends.
really, what's the point? How many people in SW will really benefit?
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to have a farmer's market once a month in the summer in the duck pond park at 6th and I Streets, especially now that they are seeming to take better care of it.
